Blazing a Trail
A path was cleared and trees felled last month where the last section of the Indiana-Michigan River Valley Trail will connect to the Township's 3.4 miles of existing trail and the City of Niles' trail ending at Fort Street. The construction is scheduled for completion in late 2018. Walkers, bikers and outdoor nature enthusiasts will have a safe and scenic route in this last section of trail. It will wind through approximately 45 acres of woods and cross over Brandywine Creek. There is plenty of nature residing in this ecosystem. Eventually, this section of trail will also connect directly to the Township's Community Park located on Bond Street.
